Lubbock, Texas (February 9, 2018) – At least one person was injured in a traffic accident at an intersection in Lubbock on Wednesday morning, February 7.

The two-vehicle accident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of 66th Street and Upland Avenue, according to a local news report.

The police believe that a Ford SUV may have run a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a Honda SUV.

The Honda reportedly caught fire after the collision.

The Honda driver sustained minor injuries in the collision and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

The Ford driver was uninjured. He was later cited for traffic violations.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
