2 Injured in Jasper County Car Accident on Highway 96
Jasper County, Texas (February 22, 2018) – At least two people were injured in a traffic accident involving an 18-wheeler in Jasper County on Monday evening, according to a local news source.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on US Highway 96 at about 5 p.m. February 19.
According to a local news source, an SUV was stopped on US Highway 96 when for unknown reasons, an 18-wheeler rear-ended it.
Two occupants of the SUV were extricated from the vehicle before they were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The severity of the injuries sustained by the two victims was not immediately established.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
