Houston, Texas (January 30, 2018) – At least two people were killed in a car accident at an intersection in Houston on Monday morning, according to a local news source.

The fatal car accident occurred at about 11 a.m. January 29, at the intersection of Wilmington and Scott streets.

According to a report by the Houston Police Department, a woman was driving a Toyota on Wilmington Street when a blue Dodge Caliber ran a stop sign at the intersection and struck her car.

The female motorist was killed in the collision.

A male passenger in the Toyota was injured in the collision and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The driver of the Dodge was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

No other information was provided.

An investigation to establish the cause of the accident is ongoing.
