3 Injured in Austin 3-Car Accident on I-35 near Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd
Austin, Texas (February 7, 2018) – At least three motorists were injured following a multi-vehicle collision in Austin on Sunday morning.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 2:39 a.m. February 4, in the 2000 block of I-35 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
A black Dodge Charger was reportedly traveling northbound when it swerved for unknown reasons and collided with a Dodge Avenger before striking another vehicle.
Three drivers were injured in the collision. Two of the victims were hospitalized.
Meanwhile, the police located and arrested the driver of the Dodge Charger who fled the scene after the accident.
The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Juan Martin Ochoa.
The incident resulted in the closure of the roadway for about two hours.
An investigation is ongoing.
