66-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in Crash at 4th Street and Toledo Avenue in Lubbock

Lubbock, Texas (February 23, 2018) – A person was taken to hospital after he was involved in a two-car-accident in Lubbock Sunday morning, authorities said.

The accident occurred just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, February 18, at the 4th Street and Toledo Avenue intersection in Lubbock.

A Jeep Patriot driver, identified 20-year-old Evan Simmons, collided with a 66-year-old man who was driving a Toyota Camry after he had turned to the northbound Toledo Avenue from 4th Street.

The Camry’s driver was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital.

Evan Simmons was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Investigation of the crash was still underway.
