Alexander Dewet Killed, Bunheng Sok Critically Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas Highway 31 in Henderson County

Henderson County, Texas (February 22, 2018) – A Bullard resident was killed in a two-vehicle crash that left an Athens man critical Wednesday night in Henderson County, according to a local news source.

The Crash took place at about 10 p.m. February 21, on Texas Highway 31 approximately 3.3 miles west of the City of Brownsboro.

As per Texas Department of Public Safety report, a 2002 Toyota Tundra, driven by 27-year-old Bunheng Sok of Athens was traveling west in the left outside lane, when for unknown reasons, it went across traffic lanes and struck a 2012 Honda Accord driven by 31-year-old Alexander Dewet of Bullard.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Dewet was declared dead at the scene, and his body was transported to Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Sok was critically injured and was taken to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
