Austin, Texas (February 4, 2018) – A 28-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car in Austin on Tuesday was identified by the police on Friday.

The accident took place at about 10:50 p.m. January 28, on East Anderson Lane at US 290.

Alma Rosa Hernandez-Jaimes had been standing near her Lexus car on US 290 East toll entrance with no lights on when a red Nissan Altima Crashed into her car, the police said.

The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to strike her.

She sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.

The driver of the Altima and a passenger were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries

No other information was provided.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
