1 Injured in Bridgeport Bicycle Accident at 2nd Street and Cobb Avenue
Bridgeport, Texas (February 19, 2018) – A boy was injured in a bicycle accident at an intersection in Bridgeport on Thursday evening, February 15, according to a local news source.
The bicycle accident occurred at the intersection of 2nd Street and Cobb Avenue at about 5:30 p.m.
Officials of the Bridgeport Police Department said that the 7-year-old boy was riding his bicycle at the intersection when he was hit by a car.
The impact of the collision ejected the boy from his bike onto the roadway leaving him with serious injuries.
The victim was flown to Cook Children’s in Fort Worth for treatment.
No word on the involved motorist was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
