Jarma Day Killed, Po Nge and Boomer Phouttharangsy Hurt in Amarillo 2-Car Crash

Amarillo, Texas (January 27, 2018) – One person was killed and another was injured in a car accident at an intersection in Amarillo Wednesday afternoon, January 24.

The fatal two-vehicle collision occurred at about 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 1912 and U.S. Highway 60 near Tyson Foods.

Jarma Day, 20, was a passenger in a Dodge Challenger which was traveling northbound on FM 1912 — also known as North Masterson Road when the driver lost control and crashed into a southbound Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 51-year-old Boomer Phouttharangsy, of Amarillo.

Day, a resident of Amarillo, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Phouttharangsy sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Dodge, 27-year-old Po Nge, 27, was also hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
