Jessye Dyson Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 285 in Reeves County

Reeves County, Texas (January 30, 2018) – A woman was killed in a traffic collision in Reeves County on Friday, according to a local news source.

The fatal collision occurred at about 7 p.m. January 26, on U.S. Highway 285.

Officials responding to the incident recovered a Freightliner and a Ford F-150 at the scene of the collision.

The authorities reported that a Freightliner disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and collided with the pickup truck operated by 51-year-old Jessye D. Dyson.

Dyson, a resident of Trinity, was injured in the collision and was taken to the Lea Regional Hospital. Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.

The driver of the Freightliner was unhurt.

No other information was provided.
