Austin, Texas (February 23, 2018) – According to the Austin-Travis Emergency medical services, a teenage boy was injured after he was struck by a car in Southwest Austin Wednesday evening.

Authorities said the crash took place at about 5:41 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, at the 4103 West Slaughter Lane near Bowie High School.

Officials said the boy was taken to St. David South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries.

Investigation to the crash is still underway.
